Brian J. Flynn, age 44 of Salem died unexpectedly Monday afternoon while walking home from work.
Born in Beverly he the son of the late William and Beatrice (Kaminski) Flynn, he was raised in Peabody. Following the early death of his father in 1967 and later his mother in 1974, he moved to Beverly and where he was graduated from the Beverly Vocational School Culinary Arts program in the Class of 1983.
Later, he became employed by the 99 Restaurant in Danvers and more recently in Salem where he enjoyed being with his coworkers who were close friends. He was both an avid Red Sox and Celtics Fan and also enjoyed visiting his sister Brenda and her family in Maine.
Mr. Flynn is survived by a sister Brenda Prout and her husband Keith of Alexander, ME; two nieces Katie Clark and her husband Randy of Maine and Ashley Prout of Maine; three great nieces Autumn Allen, Kendra Clark and Hannah Allen and a great nephew Hayden Allen.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 P.M. Burial will be private. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
