Brian J. Crannell, age 44, died Monday May 11, 2015 in Framingham after a brief illness. Brian was born in Malden on April 21, 1971 to the late Brian L. Crannell and Linda A. (Krasco) Brown. He was raised in Everett where he graduated from Everett High School. He had lived in Everett most of his life until moving to Framingham two and half years ago.


Brian was a hard working self-employed plumber who loved life and family. He was a cherished single father, big brother and eldest son who dedicated his life to his children. Brian was an outdoorsman, enjoyed sports, playing poker, fishing, skating, cooking and watching his children play sports. He loved camping at Lakeside Pines Campgrounds in Bridgeton, ME. Brian was a goodhearted man and would help anyone, anytime, anywhere. He was there for everyone and a friend of Bill W – TSDD 24.


Surviving him in addition to his parents and siblings are his beloved children, Brianna Crannell and her companion Michael McGowan, Madison Crannell and Matthew Crannell all of Framingham, his brothers and sister, Shaun Crannell of Lynn, Billy Crannell and his wife Elizabeth of Beverly, Katie White and her husband Charlie of Salem, his maternal grandmother Josephine Krasco of Melrose, his adored niece and nephews Alex and Makenzie White and Cole Crannell, his step father Mike Brown and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many close friends. He was also the grandson of the late John and Mary Lou Crannell and the late George Krasco.


His funeral service will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund for his children made payable to Linda Brown, c/o The Seaport Credit Union, 336 Lafayette St., Salem, MA 01970.
