Brian Edward Carr, 65, of Topsfield, formerly of Marblehead, passed away peacefully at Beverly Hospital surrounded by loving family after a brief illness on July 31, 2023. At the time of his passing, Brian had been a longtime resident of Nike Village in Topsfield where he was well liked and had many friends.

Born in Salem and raised in Marblehead, Brian was the son of the late Felix and Marjorie (Fraser) Carr. He attended Marblehead High School.

Brian was a kind soul who enjoyed the simple things in life such as long walks, swimming at Devereaux Beach in Marblehead and the Agawam diner where his meal of choice was a cheeseburger, lemon meringue pie and Coca-Cola.  He enjoyed listening to music, especially David Bowie. As a young boy, he enjoyed playing little league and as an adult enjoyed watching the Red Sox. He also spent many years landscaping with his brother Phil.

He was the dear brother of Felix (Phil) Carr, Gregory Carr and his wife Candace, and Robert Carr all of Marblehead. Gary Carr, Brenda Carr and Marjorie Carr all of California and Deborah Carr of Philadelphia. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
