Brenda Halpern, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the Academy Manor in Andover. Born and raised in Salem, Brenda was the daughter of the late Wilma (Joy) and Henry Conwell.
Brenda was a loving person and took great joy in helping others. Brenda enjoyed time with her family and all of the joys of raising two daughters. She was very active with the Bates School and Girl Scouts when her children were young. She battled illness most of her life, but always did her best to continue to smile. She had a kind heart and touched many lives. Most recently, her greatest joy was the time spent with her three grandchildren. They brought a renewed happiness to her life that we are forever thankful for. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.
Brenda is survived by her family, Howard Halpern, their two daughters, Tia Hagan and her husband Bob of East Kingston, NH and Kendra Thomas and her husband Bart of Kingwood, TX; her three grandchildren and pride and joy, Addakin, Payson, and Jaden Thomas all of Kingwood, TX; her sister Cynthia Conwell of Houston, TX; two brothers Ronald Conwell and wife Jean of Peabody, Robert Conwell and his wife Lorraine of Lynn, and many nieces and nephews.
