Beverly Marie (Shafer) Clark, age 71, wife of Peter Clark, died Thursday August 20, 2015 at the North Shore Medical Center – Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Philip and Lena (Colicchio) Schafer. She was raised and educated in Newburg, NY.

She met her future husband Peter, a retired sergeant in the Marblehead Police Department, in New York and they married in 1960. Together they settled in Marblehead until 1971 when they moved to Swampscott for thirty four years. Mrs. Clark's biggest joy in her life was her three children. She always kept an open door for them and kept her family close. Mrs. Clark also enjoyed playing Bingo.

Surviving Mrs. Clark, in addition to her husband, are her three children, Lianna Savage and her husband Richard of Saranec, NY, Peter S. Clark of Las Vegas, NV and Joseph B. Clark and his wife Lori of Franklin, Indiana, her two sisters Joanne Roberts and Sharon Bell, both of Newburg, NY, three grandchildren Justin Clark, Amanda Stevens and Katlyn Smart, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by two sisters Phyllis and Patricia Roy and a brother Thomas Schafer.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be held privately.
