Beverly L. "Bev" (Kesner) Byors, age 63, of Marblehead died Tuesday afternoon in the Lahey Clinic Burlington following a brief illness with acute adult leukemia. She and her husband Paul K. Byors had celebrated 45 years of marriage in June of this year.
Born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL the daughter of the late George and Christine Cunningham) Kesner, Mrs. Byors was raised in Rangeley, ME. She and her husband married shortly after her graduation from Rangeley High School in the Class of 1964, settled in Marblehead and began their family. A loving wife and mother, she was a dedicated stay at home mom involved in her children's activities. As her children grew later became the secretary for her husband's business, Byors Plumbing and Heating of Marblehead.
More recently she was a monogrammer for John Appleseed's in Beverly.
Mrs. Byors was an avid golfer and enjoyed the courses at the Sheraton Tara Ferncroft, Beverly Golf and Tennis as well as the Georgetown Country Club. She also enjoyed reading.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Byors is survived by two sons Tracy Byors of Salem and Michael S. and his wife Abigail M. Byors of Fremont, NH; a sister Karalee Rushford of Winterhaven, FL; four grandchildren Ryan, Katlyn, Gwendolyn and Shane Byors, a half brothers Ronald Kesner and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 2, in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 81 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. At the family's request there are no visiting hours. Interment will be in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
