Bertrand R. Gagnon, 90, of Salem, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at Salem Hospital, surrounded by his four children and wife of 65 years.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, on October 31st, 1934, Bertrand R. Gagnon was a cherished husband and father. He had the best dad jokes. He was a kind-hearted and loving father and husband. He loved spending time tinkering with electronic gadgets, reading, and playing chess.
He lived his life as a devout Catholic. He worked at MaCom and Tyco as an electronics technician.

Bertrand R. Gagnon is survived by his wife Dorothy Gagnon, eldest son Mark and his wife Linda, son John and wife Charlene, son Matthew and wife Rhonda, and daughter Catherine Patten and husband Christopher. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tasha, Dylan, Samuel, Emily,
Hunter, Spencer, Teraina, and Aria.

A wake will be held at Murphy's Funeral Home, Salem, MA 01970, visiting hours Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4 pm-7 pm. A funeral will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at John Paul II Divine Mercy Shrine, 30 St. Peter St., Salem, MA 01970 at 10am, and he will be laid to rest with military honors at Saint Mary's Cemetery, 226 North Street, Salem, MA 01970.
