Mrs. Bernice O'Brien, 75, of Beverly passed away Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at Radius Healthcare Center, Danvers.. She was the widow of Everett "John" O'Brien. Bernice was born in Chelsea, MA, the daughter of the late Eric and Mary (Coyne) Lindstrom.

Raised and educated in Chelsea, Bernice was a homemaker whose first love was her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed Bingo and knitting and loved dancing, especially the hustle. She and her husband were fixtures at the Saturday night dances at the VFW Spear Post in Beverly.

Bernice is survived by a daughter, Denise Halloran and her husband Chris of Danvers, four sons Mark Wilkins and his wife Tracie of Epping, NH, Jeff Wilkins and his partner Paula Lord of Epping, NH, Eric Wilkins and his wife Carla of Salem, MA, Tom Wilkins of Wenham, a step daughter, Betty Anne Therrien: a brother, John "Jack" Lindstrom and his wife Lois of Saugus. She was also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers Fred Lindstrom, Bobby Lindstrom, and three sisters Lorraine Landry, Barbara Regan and Gerri Houghton and a daughter in law Heidi Wilkins.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday May 14 at 9:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North ST) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
