Beatrice Bertha Michaels, (nee' Boudreault) 94, of Salem, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on October 12, 2018 surrounded by her family. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 16 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin Street in Peabody, Massachusetts.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.  Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15 from 2:00 - 6:00 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal Street, Salem, Massachusetts.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Murphy Funeral Home.

Bea was born in Salem on July 5, 1924. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Salem.  Bea was married to Phillip Michaels on October 23, 1954. They had a loving marriage for 56 years.   Bea worked as a bookkeeper at the Bridal Shoppe in Salem for many years, and later as a tour guide at the Witch House in Salem. She enjoyed playing cards, social occasions with her friends, and most of all traveling with her husband and family. Bea will be remembered as very social, talkative, and funny with an optimistic and happy outlook. Bea loved to engage in conversation, seeing friends, and meeting new people. She cared most about her family and was a loving and supportive mom.

Bea is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Gary and Susan Michaels of Southborogh, Susan and Robert D'Angelo of Weston, Patti Varon of Redondo Beach, California and David and Reissa Michaels of San Diego, California. She had much love for her 10 grandchildren Nicholas, Anthony, Alex, and Ryan Michaels, Jessalyn and Deena Michaels, Abby and Matthew D'Angelo, Amanda Jones, and Erica Varon.  Bea is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Phillip Edmund Michaels in 2000.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will take place on Monday October 15, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday October 16, 2018 beginning at 10:00 AM at St Thomas the Apostle Parish, located at 1 Margin St. Peabody, MA followed by the burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
