Barbara I. (Randall) Sullivan, age 86 loving wife for 68 years of John Sullivan of Salem, MA, died Sunday afternoon at the Wingate of Haverhill, Nursing Home, in Haverhill, MA following a lengthy illness.
Born in Peabody, the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Shepard) Randall, she was educated in Peabody schools, graduating from Peabody High School. Mrs. Sulllivan, owned and operated a dance studio in Peabody Square until she and her husband married and moved to Arizona where her husband began his career as a teacher.
They returned to Salem where they raised their six children . Mrs. Sullivan became employed as a teacher's aid in Salem schools. Later she was employed for 15 years at the Northeastern Family Institute until retiring in 2001.
She and her husband had enjoyed travel to Ireland but most of all loved their family and spending time with their children, and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her children: Joyce Sullivan of Danvers, MA, Juan Sullivan and Wife, Anne Sullivan of Montesano, WA, Timothy Sullivan and Wife, Dianne Sullivan of Kittery, ME, Kathy Sullivan of Nahant, Blaise Sullivan of Bradford, MA, Christopher Sullivan of Bradford, Ma, 14 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St, Salem, MA 01970.
