Marblehead- Barbara K. O'Shea (72) passed away on Sunday March 27, 2022 at Light House Nursing Home in Revere. Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve (Sigsworth) and Henry J. Gemski.

Throughout her early years, she grew up and was raised in Marblehead by her parents. Upon her graduation, she went on to attend Sorbonne in Paris, France. It was during that time she met her husband, Fintan O'Shea.

Outside of her family, she worked at Village Pharmacy in Marblehead and as a Dental Assistant at Dr. Terrence Criswell's office in Marblehead. Barbara was a seasoned traveler throughout her life and tended to her garden annually growing tomatoes for herself and her family. Above all, she was an avid dog lover. Those who knew her, knew her dogs were her daily joy.

Barbara is survived by: her son David O'Shea and his wife Jessica of Marblehead, and her brother Jeff Gemski of Marblehead; and many cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday April 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem.
