Salem….


Barbara Ann (Carbon) Kennedy, age 70, wife of Robert P. Kennedy of Salem, died Thursday morning, October 18, 2012 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers surrounded by her family.


Born in Winthrop, the daughter of the late Elmer Frederick and Mary Josephine (Fewer) Carbon, Mrs. Kennedy graduated from Winthrop High School the Class of 1958. After moving to Salem, she had worked in local preschools providing day care for over 23 years.


In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Maureen and her husband Dennis Reardon of Peabody, Robert Michael Kennedy of Salem, Karen and her husband Mark Romanowski of Middleton and Michael and his wife Nicole Kennedy of Salem; two sisters Diane MacFaun of Tennessee and Joan Zucco of Florida; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Her funeral will be held on Monday at 11:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (corner of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 12 Noon in St James Church, 156 Federal St Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
