Obituary

Arthur M. Fraumeni age 92, husband of Clare (Connolly)(Giordano) Fraumeni of Salem and the late Alberta Marion (Fopiano) Fraumeni, died Tuesday morning, April 17, 2012 at home.


Born in Revere , the son of the late Vincent and Theresa (Amoroso), Mr. Fraumeni was educated at Rindge Technical School in Cambridge where he sharpened his photography skills, that he then brought to the United States Army when he enlisted in December of 1940. He was a WWII veteran, and army photographer.
A true artist, once he was discharged, Mr. Fraumeni continued his photography skills as a professional photographer, composing family heirlooms for his clients. He also enjoyed working with his hands installing artistic creations in ceramic tile. He was a man who lived life to its fullest, enjoying every day and traveling the world.


Through all his experiences he was a great story teller and later became a member of the International Magicians Society in Salem. A man who counted his blessings, he gave back in many ways. He was a long time member of the Mason's Philanthropic Lodge in Marblehead , the Alepo Shrine in Wilmington and a member of the National Lancers, which served as the Governor of Massachusetts' Mounted Escort for many years. He also enjoyed participating in the annual reenactment of Paul Revere's Ride having played the role of Paul Revere and William Dawes.


A longtime member of the Vittori Rocci Post in Beverly, he was a great ballroom dancer.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, A. Michael Fraumeni and his wife Barbara of Dresden, ME and Leslie and her husband John Collyer of Ipswich; seven step children Teresa O'Neill of Braintree, Elizabeth Stevens and her husband Edward of Quincy, Marie Nickerson and her husband Stephen of Salem, Sandra Regan and her husband Dennis of Norwood, Paula Mollica and her husband Russell of Windsor, CT, Edward Giordano and his wife Joann of Shrewsbury and Michael Giordano of Shrewsbury; a brother Vincent Fraumeni of Hacienda Heights, CA; many grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


His funeral will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 9:00 AM in St. Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Ave , Salem . Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM at the Recreation Center near his home, 50 Freedom Hollow, Salem. Please follow the signs for Visitor Parking/Recreation Facility.
