Arthur Barrette age 69, of Beverly, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
Born in Salem the son of the late Arthur J. and Helen D. (Mahoney) Barrette, he was raised and educated in Salem Schools. Following his graduation from the Salem Vocational School, Mr. Barrette served in the United States Air Force.
Following his discharge, Mr. Barrette was employed by General Electric in Lynn and later by the City of Salem Park Department. He had also worked in auto supply retail sales.
A social person, he had enjoyed people and was a lifetime member of the ICC (Italian Community Club) in Beverly.
He is survived by a sister, Joan E. St. Amand of Menlo Park, CA, and her children Ellen St. Amand of Menlo Park, CA., Scott St. Amand of Merrit Island, FL, Greg E. St. Amand of St Louis, MO Stephen A. St. Amand of Atlanta, GA and Christopher P. St. Amand of Melbourne, FL.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at St. James Church, 161 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn. Arrangements are under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., Salem.
