Mrs. Artemis (Tgettis) Gregoire, age 86, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Raymond L. Gregoire, loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 7 ^th , 2019. Born July 13, 1932 in Salem Mass she was the daughter of Christopher and Florence (Zacapolis) Tgettis.  Her parents, brothers, Alexander Tgettis, Harry Tgettis and Charles Tgettis, sisters Alice Patterson and Nora Ganey predeceased her.

She raised her family in Salem as a stay at home mom then in later years became a caregiver for the elderly. For 35 years Arty and Ray were the proprietors of Forest Lake Cottages in Whitefield NH creating lasting memories for their guests, family and friends.

Arty was active in the SHS class reunion committee, Salem Fire Department functions and at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church where she was a lifelong member. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxilary.

Artemis is survived by her son John Gregoire of Nevada, daughters Jean Walsh and husband John (Jack) of Salem, Ellen Costa and husband John of Kensington NH, Gail Avery and husband Joel of Danvers; six grandsons Justin Walsh and fiancé Andrea Barlow, Joel Walsh, Joshua Walsh and wife Jillian, Anthony Boisvert, Dominic Boisvert, Nicholas Avery; granddaughter Cassandra Avery and great-grandsons Bryson Walsh, Aaron and Brian O'Connor.  She leaves behind siblings Nicholas Tgettis of Salem and Helen George of Danvers, many cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.

Visiting hours will take place on Thursday June 13, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. A funeral service will be held on Friday June 14, 2019 at the Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will take place following the service at Harmony Grove Cemetery, located at 30 Grove St. Salem.
