Swampscott……
Arlene (Boucher) Noonan, age 66, of Swampscott died at home unexpectedly early Wednesday morning.
Born in Peabody, the daughter of the late Albert and May Boucher, she was raised and educated in Salem. Mrs. Noonan attended St. Anne School, was graduated from St. James High and had attended Salem State College.
Later, she and her former husband married and began a family. A loving and devoted mother she enjoyed arts and crafts and is well known for her seasonal wreaths. Mrs. Noonan was also a very dedicated to her volunteer work at both the Shaughnessy Hospital and North Shore Medical Center in Salem as well as the Insight Club in Swampscott. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her granddaughter Alison.
Mrs. Noonan is survived by a daughter Lynne and her husband David Naman and their daughter Alison all of Wenham; a brother Armand Boucher of North Charleston, SC; two sisters Evelyn Collins of Hobe Sound, FL and Joanne Buono of Cape Canaveral, FL, her former husband Timothy Noonan of Salem and many nieces of nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M. in St. Anne Church 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Interment will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
