Anne M. (Nersasian) Savoie, age 94, wife of the late Joseph E. Savoie, died Thursday morning September 17, 2015 at the NSMC-Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Mary (Ogasian) Nersasian. She was raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. She continued her education at Marion Court Secretarial School. She had resided in Salem for most of her life and 30 years ago, Anne and her husband Joseph moved to Danvers.

Anne was a person who expressed very positive energy to all around her. She was a very kind soul who always thought of others. She was a very loving and protective Mother who was very proud of her family. Everyone enjoyed being with her and the room would light up with her presence.

Anne enjoyed working at the Danvers Senior Center in the gift shop one day a week. She enjoyed her time at the Center and would partake in many of the activities, most especially the trips they had. She was a member of the Crombie Street Congregational Church for many years. She was the superintendent of the Sunday School and liked working on the weekly Order of Worship bulletin that would be passed out to all of the congregation. She also became a member of the Maple Street Congregational Church in Danvers where she stayed very active in the congregation and was a member of the Woman's Club. Anne enjoyed dancing and had been a member of a local Folk Dance Group where she got great enjoyment with the creative movement of the dance.

Surviving her are her two daughters, Donna Savoie- Carnevale of Cincinnati, OH, Carole Savoie-Taylor and her husband John of Plum Island, two brothers, Dr. Arthur Nersasian and his wife Grace of Florida and Dr. Robert Nersasian of Salem, three grandchildren, Rebecca Carnevale and her husband Ian Robinson of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Alison Carnevale and her husband Alan Bothe of Philadelphia, PA, John "JC" Taylor of Plum Island, great Granddaughter Elise Carnevale-Robinson and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Aram "Sparky" Nersasian and Rose Pashoogian.

Anne's Funeral Service will be held at the Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple St, Danvers on Monday September 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Visiting hours at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St.) Salem on Sunday September 20, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple St., Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Danvers Senior Center, 25 Stone St., Danvers, MA 01923.
