Bresnahan, Anne (Holland), of Swampscott, formerly of Lynn,  passed peacefully on January 31, 2020, at the age of 89.  Beloved wife of the late Alfred E. Bresnahan, daughter of Helen (Brennan) and John E. Holland.  Loving sister of the late Claire Ward, Gert Ahern, Helen Doyle and survived by her sister Mary Jane Holland.  Devoted mother of Cathleen Hartmann, Joanne van der Burg and her husband Linso, Patricia Folta and her husband Rand, Daniel Bresnahan and his wife Christine, Kevin Bresnahan and his wife Joan and Alfred Bresnahan and his wife Margo.  She leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, all of whom she loved dearly.

Anne loved her family.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  We will miss her unconditional love and support.    She will always be remembered for her kindness, along with her impeccable style…from her pastel colors to her pearls, she was beautiful inside and out.   She loved fashion, flair and Florida sunshine.  She was the center of our universe.  She taught us that family is everything, that forgiveness is part of life and that love in a family is something to be treasured.  She reminded us always of how blessed we have been.

We'd like to thank the dedicated staff at the Abbott House Nursing Home.  You were all wonderful to our mom and we appreciate the compassionate care she received there.

Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday February 4, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. A prayer service will be held following at 6:00 PM.
