Anna M. (Fleming) Miaskiewicz, age 76, wife of the late Joseph J. Miaskiewicz of Salem died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in the North Shore Medical Center, Salem.
Born, raised and educated in Beverly the daughter of the late Maurice and Mary (Cragan) Fleming, Mrs. Miaskiewicz was graduated from Beverly High School. A loving wife, her primary interest in life was her family, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Miaskiewicz had spent many years working at Salem Hospital and later, North Shore Medical Center.
She is survived by four children Joseph Miaskiewicz, MD and his wife Wendy of Salem, Thomas Miaskiewicz and his wife Norma of Salem, Ann Huston and her husband Bill of Cranbury, NJ and Judith Matula and her husband Stephen of Salem; a brother Arthur Fleming of Beverly; seven grandchildren Michael Miaskiewicz, Michelle Rousseau, Mindy Huston, J.J. Miaskiewicz, Tony Miaskiewicz, Stephen Matula Jr. and Nathaniel Matula and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a grandson Billy Huston; two brothers Maurice Fleming, Jr. and James Fleming and a sister Mary Page.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 8:15 A.M. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St (cor of North St) Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody on the Salem Peabody line. The family appreciates the continued community support and will visit with close friends and family today, Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M in the Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
