Anna Marie (Walsh) Coughlin passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on the morning of Monday July 2, 2018 at the age of 107 years old at the Masconomet Health Care Center. Anna was born and raised in Newtown, MA as first generation by her mother and father, Sarah (Stevenson) and Richard Walsh who were both born in Ireland.

As Anna grew up in Newton, she attended Newton schools and became the first in her family to graduate from High School. After she graduated, she went onto working as a secretary and a stenographer in the textile industry throughout her life. Outside of her work, she enjoyed spending her time writing poetry, painting, and playing music.

While she wasn't working or enjoying her hobbies, Anna met the love of her life John J Coughlin where they got married and raised three children. She was a devoted mother and loving wife and will be remembered by all those she encountered.

Anna leaves behind: her son John J. Coughlin and his wife Elizabeth M. Coughlin, her daughter Mary A. Baldwin and her deceased husband Joe W. Baldwin, and her daughter Anne M. Brophy and her husband Thomas F. Brophy; her grandchildren: Kerri A. Moran and her husband Brian, Susan Lisella and her husband Michael, Thomas M. Brophy; John J. Baldwin and wife Jennifer, Brian J. Coughlin and wife Elizabeth, Lisa M. Higgins and husband Nathan; and also nine great grandchildren.

Anna is predeceased by: her loving husband John J. Coughlin; her brothers William, John, Richard, James; and her sisters Elizabeth, Helen, Agnes, Lenore, and Josephine.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 5, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes, located at 270 Elliot Newton Upper Falls, MA 02464. Funeral Services will be held following the visiting hours at 10:30 AM at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in Anna's memory.
