Anna (Kerkorian) Borodkin, 80 years, wife of the late Paul Borodkin, died Tuesday afternoon, August 24, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Daughter of the late John and Osanna (Toumekian) Kerkorian, she was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in the class of 1948.
Following high school, Mrs. Borodkin was employed with Grants in Salem. She continued her career at the Holyoke Insurance Company and retired from Salem Hospital as a Payroll Coordinator following 26 years of employment.
Mrs. Borodkin loved to dance and crochet. She was a people person and was a very classy lady. She was a member of AARP, Widow and Widowers, and the Salem Council on Aging.
Surviving her are her sister, Madeline Jackson of Salem; her niece and nephew, Laura Ridley of Salem; Robert Jackson of Providence, RI; her sister-in-law, Marie Kerkorian of Peabody; and many grand nieces and grand nephews. She was also the sister of the late Abraham and William Kerkorian.
Her funeral will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
