Ann C. (DiVeglia) Perry, age 84 years, wife of the late Arthur A. Perry, died Sunday evening, November 18, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Salem, Ann was the daughter of the late Luigi and Bessie (Porcello) DiVeglia. She was a graduate of Salem High School and married her husband, Arthur soon after graduation. Ann and Arthur raised their family in Salem where they had lived all of their life.
Ann enjoyed knitting and had made all of her great grandchildren and staff members at the nursing home hats scarves and mittens. She was an extremely generous person and would help anyone in need. She was a foster mother when her children were younger, was very family orientated and loved her family, most especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Surviving her are her four children, Cheryl Gallagher and her husband Bill of Salem, Cindy Perry of York, ME, Leanne Perry and Jay perry both of Beverly, a brother and sister, Carmine DiVeglia and his wife Olga of Salem, Eleanor Tamilio Arrington and her husband George of Wells, ME, two grandchildren, erin Pezzulo and her husband Dominic and Kelly Papalegis and her husband Derek all of Salem, 5 great grandchildren Lyla, Sienna and Griffin Pezzalo, Olivia and Paige Papaligis and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of thelate Mary Watson, John, Joseph, Alfred and Lawrence DiVeglea.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Danversport Yacht Club, 161 Elliott St, Danvers, MA on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
