Lynnfield - Ann Marie (Heffernan) Doyle, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on February 1, 2016 while surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born in Lynn and was the daughter of the late Edward A. Heffernan of Salem and Florence "Gertrude" Sharp of Swampscott. Ann attended elementary through high school in Lynn and was a proud Graduate of Lynn English High School where she met her future Husband and 9th grade prom sweetheart Allan J. Doyle. Through her high scholastic achievement at Lynn English, Ann was able to secure a position with the Boston and Maine Railroad where she worked as a secretary for many years until beginning her family. Ann and Allan were married in 1958 and enjoyed 57 loving years of marriage. They built a house together in Salem in 1962 which was completed after Allan returned from serving his country during the Berlin Crisis. Ann and Allan continued to build a life together and expand their family for 14 years and then moved to Marblehead in the summer of 1976. Ann was a tremendously devoted and loyal friend, mother and wife. She enjoyed Knitting and spent much of her free time creating clothing for babies.
Ann is survived by her Loving Husband Allan J. Doyle. Her son David Allan Doyle and wife Judith of Chester, NH, daughter Jo-an Doyle Fratini of Marblehead and son Timothy Edward Doyle and wife Jeanna of Lynnfield. Ann is also survived by her 7 beautiful grandchildren Courtney, Christopher, Julia, Nicholas, Shayna, Braden and Ava.
Visiting hours for Ann will be held on Friday February 5, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal St (corner of North St.) in Salem. Her Funeral will take place on Saturday February 6, 2016 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church 85 Atlantic Ave. Marblehead, MA at 10 AM. Friends and family are invited to attend.
