IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann M.
Correnti
June 21, 1942 – November 18, 2022
On Friday November 18th 2022, Ann Marie Correnti of Swampscott Massachusetts passed away at the age of 80. Ann lost her battle with cancer surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home. Born on June 21st 1942 Ann was the youngest daughter of Stanley and Mildred Bettger. Ann leaves her siblings, James Bettger and Jane Finney.
Ann graduated from Swampscott High School in 1960. Shortly thereafter she married the love of her life, Carmello Correnti on July 7th 1961. Ann and Carmen remained faithfully married for 61 years; family members say they were the embodiment of true love.
Together, Ann and Carmen shared five children: Cari Correnti, Steven Correnti, Darren Correnti, Carmello Correnti Jr, and Anne Bennett. Ann also leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Jeremy Correnti-Wood, Meghan Bennett, Parker Correnti, Josh Correnti-Wood, John Bennett, Aislinn Howard, Colby Correnti, Erin Correnti, Darren Correnti, Treisa Correnti, Connor Correnti, Julia Correnti, Sophia Correnti, and Cooper Correnti. Ann was blessed with three great grandchildren: Kyler Howard, Nora Howard, and Cailin Correnti.
In addition to raising their four biological children, Ann suggested to Carmen that they extended their loving home to less fortunate children within the foster system. Ann and Carmen eventually were to have a total of 18 foster children.
Ann worked as a Bookkeeper for Buffalino Insurance later known as Farquhar and Black. She then worked as a Payroll Clerk for All Care VNA, until her retirement in 2020. Ann was an avid golfer, traveler, and cook. She adored her dog Deacon, a mini schnauzer poodle mix. Her favorite holiday was Christmas Eve, although she much preferred the warm summer sun to a snowy New England winter. Those who were lucky enough to be close to her, never left her home unfed. Her meatballs and sauce were considered a national treasure by her family and friends. Ann was pure kindness and strength right down to her core, she lit up every room she entered, and never turned away from lending a helping hand to those she loved. There was nothing more important to her than her family. Of all her accomplishments, being a mother and a Nana were her proudest.
