Andrew S. Sorrento Jr, 57, of Salem passed away on May 26 ^th after a brief illness.  Husband of Ann Marie (Koen) Sorrento.

Andy was born in Hyde Park Massachusetts and moved to Salem when he was 14 years old.  He graduated from Salem High School and North Shore Community College.  He was employed by Nissen Baking Company and a member of the Teamsters Union for 25 years.  For the past seven years, he was employed by Piantedosi Baking Company.

Andy was an avid sports fan and especially loved college basketball and football.  Traditionally kicking off the college football season singing the "Notre Dame Fight Song".  His favorite moments were spent with his family; playing chess with his son AJ, long talks with his daughter Mara and spending time with the light of his life, his granddaughter Emma.

He is survived by his wife Ann Marie, his daughter Mara Sorrento and her fiancé Kevin Goudey, his son Andrew (AJ) Sorrento of Salem.  Also, his sister Jennene Sorrento, his brother Stephen Sorrento, his niece Gabriella Secondiani and his nephew Nickolas Caldarelli all of Peabody.  He was the proud "Papa" of Emma Goudey of Salem.

He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Katherine Sorrento and his sister Elena Sorrento.
