Alice Y. (Demeule) Stevens, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8 ^th .  The wife of the late Edward M. Stevens, Alice was a lifelong resident of Salem.  Devoted to her family, she will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law.  She will be remembered by many as "Salem Grammie".

A 1972 graduate of the former North Shore Children's Hospital School of Nursing.  Alice devoted her nursing years to the care of children there.

She is survived by: her son; Richard Stevens and his wife, Tory, her beloved grandchildren; Taylor Stevens and Samantha Stevens and her husband Jason Jeitler, her sisters; Doris Hoffman, Victoria Demeule and her brother, Harold Demeule; as well as many nephews and nieces.
