Alice Mary (Russell) Gray, RN, age 94, wife of the late Francis J. Gray, died in Salem Hospital on December 21, 2007, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Gray, the daughter of the late Julius and Ella (Bibbins) Russell, was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and of The Salem Hospital School of Nursing and she worked at Lawrence General Hospital, and as a surgical nurse in the emergency ward at Salem Hospital.
Mrs. Gray is survived by two sons; Francis J. Gray Jr. of Marblehead, and his wife, Carol, and their children, Christopher Gray and Adam Gray, and Dennis Gray of Salem, and his wife, Betsy, and his children, Daniel Gray and Ian Gray. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth Russell of Andover, MA.
A funeral Mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, December 29th at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 1 Margin St. Peabody, MA. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends of Mrs. Gray and the Gray Family are welcome to attend.
At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gray's name to Salem Hospital, Oncology Unit, 81 Highland Avenue, Salem, Massachusetts, 01970.
