Albert J. "Bud" Robinson, 71, a resident of Naples, Fla., formerly of Salem, died at home after a heroic four-year battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, January 23, 2011. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 25, 2010.

Al was an avid golfer, a retired Principal of the Danvers School System, an interim Principal of the Saltonstall School in Salem and a past member of the Salem School Committee. Bud was a graduate of Salem High School, and earned his bachelor's and master's from Salem State University. His many activities included the Marine Reserves, member of AOH Div. 18 , Director of the Foxfire Condo Association, Member of Salem State Alumni, recipient of the Educator of the Year in 2000 from Salem State, and KISS League Foxfire, Naples.

Truly loved by all who knew him and his great sense of humor, Al will be greatly missed by his family and friends.He is also survived by his three daughters, Deborah and her husband Mark Henderson, Judith and her husband Richard Doane and Kathleen and her husband Richard Theriault; a son, Edward Robinson and his wife Kimberly Sherman; sister, Peggy and her husband Bruce Ebersole; sisters-in-law, Florence and her husband Robert Stanley and Ann St. Pierre. He is also survived by nine grandchildren Justin, Darren, Hayleyand Karly Henderson, Brian Doane, Beau, Darcy and Jake Theriault, and Shawn Harnish, as well as several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral mass will be held at St. Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Ave. Salem on March 5, 2011 at 9:000 AM. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (cor of North St) Salem.
