Albert Coleman, age 79 of Salem, MA died peacefully on December 5, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. The son of the late Albert S. and Eva M. (Peneau) Coleman. Albert was married for 56 years to his loving wife Mary (Mele) Coleman.
Albert served in the both the National Guard and United States Army during the Korean conflict. After his service, he joined North Shore Recycle where he worked for 38 years until his retirement.
Above all, Albert was a loving, proud and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed doing puzzles and watching classic movies. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his his wife, he is survived by his five children, Richard and his wife Diana Coleman of Peabody, Domenic and his wife Nancy Coleman of Peabody, Robert and his wife Gloria Coleman of Haverhill, Donna and her husband Robert Killiam of Haverhill and Mary Casseday of Salem. He was the loving grandfather to ten grandchildren Brett, Elise, Rachel, Matthew, Marissa, Bobby, Marlena, Paul, Keith, and Lisa and two great grandchildren Myrtle and Sienna, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and dear life long friends.
His funeral will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012, at 9:15 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North), Salem to be followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, 156 Federal St, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.in the Murphy Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
