IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alan
Marchesini
July 29, 1964 – May 13, 2024
Alan (Al) Robert Marchesini, 59 of Peabody passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 13, 2024 in Seabrook NH.
Alan was born July 1964 in Salem MA to the late Sergio Marchesini and Josephine (Mistretta) Lemay. Al grew up mostly in Peabody and graduated from North Shore Tech in Auto Mechanics. He always had a love for cars, especially race cars. He would spend many nights at the racetracks with friends and family. He and his Friend Bobby even put together a car to race on amateur night many years ago. Al was a great friend to many, he befriended anyone he encountered and would drop what he was doing to help anyone.
Alan was the 8th child out of 9. One brother and one sister previously deceased. The remaining 5 siblings are scattered around the country. Al was a father to 2 daughters, a grandfather to one granddaughter, an uncle to many nephews and one niece. Alan and Bob became friends at a young age and have been inseparable since. They became such great friends over the years, Alan and his girls were considered to be part of Bob's family.
Alan liked to have a good time. He was always the life of the party. He enjoyed music, dancing, and karaoke. He actually broke his foot once while dancing "Cotton Eye Joe". Al was a major sports fan. Didn't matter what the sport was, he was watching it. He enjoyed going to live games as well as watching them on TV, or listening to them on the radio. He also enjoyed camping and all that it entailed. His favorite part was enjoying a burger and beer while sitting by the fire with some music. Everyone just had to make sure he didn't fall in… again.
Al worked as an auto mechanic off and on throughout his life. He spent much of his early adulthood working for Fiesta Shows where he would set up/tear down the rides, work the ticket booths and the games. His favorite ride was the Sea Dragon. Once he retired from being on the road with Fiesta Shows, he switched gears and began working for the taxi companies in the Peabody area. He drove taxi as well as dispatched.
A memorial service will be held At Murphy Funeral home in Salem, MA on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 4pm-6pm.
